people suck!
more examples of why the earth needs nukage

Seconded. Altough I don't think that will do the job.

What we need is anti-matter bombs or even better, a supernova.
What is becoming of our society, when actions like that aren't sanctioned. Those people should be publicly put to shame on a grand scale.

Third it.

Send those people to the SUN ad far I care. We need more people that who care for the other person and not for themselves.

Yes, of course that makes perfect sense - people are cruel, lets make them all die  :rolleyes:

I reckon, now the only place you find 'Mateship' (as it's known in Australia) is in the Army....and a forum dedicated to an 11 year old game (takers anyone?)

Not all is cruel just the small percentage of them. About 5% is bad people and all the rest is the good people hat help others.  :nod:

Wow. I posted a thread that genuinely made me sad, about a person who killed themselves because other people goaded him into it. Sure, other people felt sympathy as well, but then I somehow managed to convince several people to kill everyone in addition to the kid who commit suicide. How'd that happen?

Killing everyone as a solution for this problem kind of undermines being sad when someone is killed.

There are lots of place to find camaraderie and 'mateship' outside the military. The Army institutes a very specific psychological program to foster said 'mateship', and that's a good thing for its purposes -- those bonds often last a very long time and help soldiers get through the other trials of war.

But you can find the same kind of bonds in other places, without the cost.

It's sad but i don't find it particularly surprising.  Go back to the days of public execution and folks would be lining up to heckle and throw spoiled fruit in a much similar fashion.  Reminds me of the end of "No Country For Old Men" when Tommy Lee Jones' character is crying about the good old days before the drug war violence and his old man tells him about how is great grandfather(?) also a lawman was shot down like a dog in front of his family.  Basically there are no good old days and humans always have a tremendous capacity for cruelty.

In this case it probably didn't help that it was a bunch of British folk hollarin' "Get On With It" probably sounded like a bleedin' Python skit.

There are many things than make me proud to be human. this is not one of them.

i actually witnessed this once however in my case it was only 1 person doing that ****. the other 20 or so tackled him shortly after.
as it turned out the guy was never going to jump anyway but what that guy did was despicable. to see an entire crowd doing that without someone standing up to them is absolutely insane.

Nuke's right. it's about time to start over.

I value life. I just don't value the life of a human more than the life of anything else. Especially a human that doesn't matter to me personally. I mean, I'd feel more sad for a dead cat. Cats are at least cute. Humans are ****ing ugly.

But anyway.

My point is less "haha, die die" and more "how exactly is this news; humans are cruel to other animals all. the. time."

I'm just not good at articulation.

i can agree. but i dont value life at all and i still wouldnt make a joke out of somone juping off of something or bleeding to death while people take pictures (as much as i love the album cover for dawn of the black hearts). i might actually call 911 or tell the jumper about my most memorable suicide attempts. they start changing their mind when they hear about all the things that can go wrong. but yea id probibly cry over a dead cat too. but thats cause i just like kitties.

this one time when i was a kid i saw someone getting stabbed to death at a bus station (was on the bus though). someone actually cared enough to pull over and put a bullet through the killers head. they gave him 20 years for using a handgun on somone who wasnt attacking him. also shortly before i moved i found out one of my old hs buddies shot himself. i seem to fail tu care. you see in the firey forge that is humanity that part of my mind that used to give a **** was removed, or got incenerated or something. maybe it was all the cat scans i had when i was a kid, or the medications. so dont get all pissed off at zach's comments. its a ****ed up thing for people to learn the realities of existance and then given no time to adapt to it. the world is ****ed up. and untill it gets its act together, its all primed up for genocide as far as i care. but im crazy so just ignore me :D

I had a friend who went to a suicide party once. Him and his friend watched 20some people off themselves together. Cute.

@Battuta

Fair enough, generally any group of people that endure hardship together form hard bonds or hatred

@Nuke

A part of me wants to say "Duuuuude, that is SOOO ****ed up", but I can attempt to understand, I know that point you cross where nothing seems to matter anymore, the part of my mind that usually gives a sh*t is usually being suppressed by the desire to act 'cool' under pressure so on so forth. It's only when it begins to deeply affect you everything hits home at once

@iamzack

that is just ****ed up
