What programs do i need to make a ship for freespace 2? i was just wondering, because i want to start making some new ships and stuff. ill be new to it...but hopefully ill catch on. can anyone suggest like the best like programs too make models for freespace 2?

What I use:
to model/map: 3ds Max and a crappy drwing prog called picture publisher
to make hierarchy/convert TS4 and the supamega pluggin that comes with it, Woomeister (sorry, couldn't resist )
to make the pof data, modelview and PCS or FSMM2 or whatever you want
to make the tbl entries, the horribly expensive notepad ( don't laugh, it's shipped with a crappy addon and this single little expansion pack costs a lot , it's called windows )
to use the ship, I use Fred2
