And here come the Pro-God Busses
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7875457.stm

Not that I care about the message, it just makes me chuckle that all this has started here, frankly, I'm beginning both sides would just shut the hell up and let people get on with their lives without having either opinion rammed down their throats. Maybe I should get together my own little campaign.

'All of you, shut up and let us enjoy our lives!'

or maybe

'Our lives would be more enjoyable without arguments on the side of Busses'

In my opinion there was never a greater waste of money in the history of the world.  Except maybe US presidential election adverts.

Isn't that what the Atheists were asking of the Catholics/Protestants/Muslims/Jews/etc.?

At least your bus system will be well funded because of this.....
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

I never thought of it like that

:wakka:

maybe it is some use if it raises the money to have a decent bus system...

Plenty of Catholics/Protestants/Muslims/Jew/etc. want the same thing; it goes both ways.

EDIT: Better ad; "God is dead, and I killed him"

If I could find a picture of Nietzsche with a hunting rifle I would stick that on the ad as well. It's early in the morning and my photoshop skills aren't at their peak.

To be honest I think this is going to end up being another load of advertising that gets paid no attention at all.

Maybe, but we're a bunch of people on a forum who occasionally, by some sheer miracle of fried synapses, become alpha self-important twatts who enter into discussions over Sh!t like this only to have the thread locked two or three pages later.

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

Re: And here come the Pro-God Busses
Only when self-important twats like you start trying to create problems.

Basically, if you don't like it, don't post in it, but if you are going to deliberately start insulting members or creating a flame war, this thread won't get locked, you'll just end up monkeyed.

Ack, didn't mean to sound so jaded and bitter. I forgot my sarcasm tags. My bad!

Seriously?  I thought that the article up top was another one of related topic.  That'll show me for skipping the link.

Tell ya what:  Let's compare timestamps on these articles.
http://www.csmonitor.com/2009/0116/p01s04-woeu.html

This one is from Jan. 16

EDIT:  Just checked the stamp on yours.  It's from Feb 6.  The atheist buses came first by a good two and a half weeks.  That puts a little bit of a new twist on this thread, I think.

Lol, the athiest one says "There's probably no God, now stop worrying and enjoy your life."  Sound familiar?

Re: And here come the Pro-God Busses
The lack of the word 'probably', and the lacks of capitalization on the word 'BELIEVE' is what makes it Orwellian though.

If it had read 'There is no God, so STOP believing and enjoy your life', then it'd be more along the same lines ;)

And why does it put a twist in the thread, the article I actually linked to said exactly the same thing? In fact, the picture directly under the article title is of one of those buses. Even my first comment was about the fact it was annoying to see the two sides having an argument about it all over the sides of public transport.
