THere is no way of comparing SW ships vs FS ships, unless you 've got data of the damage per second in real values. And the hull strength. And then you must try to implement them into fs. THEN you can compare.

It did, it probably hurt the Orion a fair bit too, but its Turbolasers are like blobs and too small to see from that distance.
And that's just one mod's interpretation of the ISD, not a definitive by any means.
In fact, the result of that isn't valid AT ALL.

I could set every ship in that mod to have 10x the HP and 10x the damage, and it'd still be balanced with itself, but then it'd trash other ships.

Another thing worth noting is that the Orion's TerSlashes got the Imperial warship on the top side across, which means that they do more damage than usual on other FS2 warships.

I got the ISD from that Imperial Alliance mod. It's missing maps/UV mapping on its right side. And the lasers are much thiner than the blob turrets.

Hmm. . . Maybe I should remove the video?

It is. FS>SW. I don't care what you say or think, because FS will allways have better ships than SW, B5 or BSG.

Um, I don't really much care about silly, insubstantial versus arguments.

The ISD just doesn't get to do anything cool, since its weapon fire is invisible from that distance. ISDs are certainly cool.

Also, the flak fields from BSG are very Freespace, as is the bomb interception -- I think you'd really enjoy the combat in that series.
