Re: How well can your pc handle Freespace?
I can run everything with some slowdowns especially when facing larger ships.

Re: How well can your pc handle Freespace?
I'm currently playing the game with all the mvps and adveffects on an 8400m geforce, 1.4ghz core 2 duo, and 2gb of memory. Runs good for the most part, some minor slow down, and ocasional stuttering. I'm also playing the game in 1440x900 with 2x anistropic. I could possibly go down to 1280x800 with no anistropic.
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

no, there's no hope. The hope is that my super-computerswitchedonguy of a big brother comes over soon and he will have it all done and fixed before I've blinked by eyes and said "What, there's a fan on there?"
Well here we go, he got it working in 5 minutes flat. Freespace 2, here I come!!(...again)

Re: How well can your pc handle Freespace?
My computer only starts slowing down when hi-poly models appear on screen. The intro cutscene of BP demonstrates this very well, as does the second-last mission of BP.

Re: How well can your pc handle Freespace?
From the origional fresh install of FS2 on my PC, it always worked fine, lag free. With FSO and everythign turned off to 'default FS2', it lags when viewing caps or beams or more then 1 cap. Sometimes in fighter battles. really pisses me off.

Then i updated to 3.6.10 and now FSO dont work, and i cant go back to 3.6.9 caz i deleted the files.
