A complete guide for freespace
You all must know FREDzone and all those FS guides, one teaching how to make cool voices, others how to fart the USA hymn. Well, how would you like to have a total database of How to design a FS2 mission  If (i say IF ) a guide like this is wanted, I'll do it. But that's only an IF .

Now have a nice day!!! :D

lol I saw this post and thought "Ship making guide? Already made?  Hell, why'm I doin' one then?" On a related note: Anybody who knows any of the following programs and could write a simple, yet thorough tutorial of how to use them, please e-mail me.

  • Rhino 3D
  • Lightwave 3D
  • GMax
  • 3D Studio Max

I'm sure there are more, but I'm kinda doped up now.  I can make the Blender tutorial.  These will be included with the ship creation tutorial I'll (hopefully) complete soon.  Hopefully, it'll be the last one that has to be written.  It's intended so that any person who's new to modeling can look at it, follow it, and learn how to do EVERYTHING to make a ship and get it into FS2.  Easier said than done, right?

FRED2 has a help file, you know. I got where I am today by reading that, lots of practice, messing around with random SEXPs, and taking apart the Volition missions.

The FRED section at FreeSpace Watch has mission design walkthough. It might be worth you going through that as well. I have a feeling its done by the same guy who did the FS2 mission buuilding walkthrough, but I could be wrong.
