Is it possible to make a rocketluncher that fires more than 4 Missiles (swarm) at the same time?

I want to make a rocketluncher with about 20 missiles the same time. I have allready tried it, but for some unkown reason FS doesn't acept my changes....
so I want to ask if its possible... until I find out whats wrong with my FS2.

I dunno. I made a swarm missile with 10 missiles at once. Worked fine.

How did you made them?
Could you send me the tbl entries?

There might be a limit to the swarm tag.  Just try upping the $swarm value until it doesn't work any more.

$swarm value??? I only know this form or is that what you mean?

$Flags: ( "player allowed" "swarm" "swarm" "swarm" "swarm" "swarm")

If not tell me what you mean ...

IIRC, swarm one tag. there is a tbl value that is $swarm which is the # of missiles, just like there is a $flags value.

The MX-52 section has the following entry between $Homing and $LaunchSnd:

$Swarm:   8

Try adding that in, with whatever number you want. :) (I once made a missile that fired 50 or so in a swarm :D)

My Fang missile ( :thepimp: ) has a twin missile swarm. Very interesting effect.

The swarm tag is usally located below the section detailing lock on time etc. It says: swarm . being the amount of missiles fired on single fire mode. If makes no sense, then look at table entry for the Hornet or Tornado.

I just imagined something truly hideous. A piranha with "spawn Piranha 10". All the spawned piranhas would spawn spawning piranhas... exponential missiles.. IT WOULD NEVER END!!!!!:eek2:

... and never kill anything, since no actual synaptic missile thingamabobs are spawned.  Eventualy FS2 would crash in a heroic effort to save the universe before it became filled with so much matter in the form of ever-multiplying piranha missiles emerging ex nihilo that the sheer gravity of it all collapsed everything back into an infinitesimal point.  An interesting way to kill the enemy, but perhpas not the wisest course of action.

Swarm missles - when fired without a lock - corkscrew round each other.  I't pretty neat. :)
