You'll need the "Bootskin" Tool, made by Stardock.

Click the button that says Logon Studio XP for the Log-on screen modifier.

Click the button that says BootSkin XP for the boot screen modifier.

Good thing that at least the logon thing is unnecessary in Win7.

Can the Logon Studio XP work with a bootskin file?

Of course not.

*.bootskin files associate to BootSkin, *.logonxp files associate to LogonStudio.

You need to install BootSkin to use *.bootskin files and LogonStudio to use *.logonxp files.

Okay, I got that. Gee, do I feel stupid; naturally Stardock made a version of bootskin for windows xp. Something as simple as clicking a stinkin' link; go ahead, call me a fool.

I found Bootskin XP for the bootskin, and I'll install it that way. Thanks for t3h help.
