You'd need DX to play retail. So it probably does have a purpose.

Damn, Orion is one hard ship to line up for a proper shot in ship lab. Where can I request feature that lets user to adjust the Ship Lab lighting (and possibly background) elements?

Anyway, this is the best I could come up with on short notice; it's a bit clippy with the thruster effects though... :blah:

I see aliasing effects on the image, resulting from non-interpolated scaling.

Re: working on FreeSpace 2 SCP DVD 2.0
The Deimos looks better solely because it doesn't have that god-awful engine clipping issue... on all other regards I prefer the Orion, it is simply the most iconic capital ship I can think of in FreeSpace and FreeSpace 2. I also like the Orion version's general layout and background more than the Deimos one.

The Deimos' transparency stuff doesn't look that bad either the higher quality image.

So yeah... as such I would prefer the Deimos version because of the engine issue but the Orion version is better in almost all other ways.

Make it randomized. I can't pick one that I like most.

It's just an installer after all... :nervous:

Anyone have a copy of that pic Interplay put up on their website by accident?  Might make a great cover.
