if they really have nothng to hide, they should let us see. by telling us we can't, they are flat out saying that they do have weapons of mass destruction.

Bush is indeed a complete idiot, but this is one of the few places where I think he (or whoever is in charge) is doing the right thing. Several indications point towards Iraq trying to assemble biochem bombs, one of which is the thing Carl mentioned. ;)

... or preserving the illusion that they do, which is really Saddam's only defence against us invading. So long as the US has a slightexcuse to fear him a bit, we won't mess. Only an imbecile would give up his final defence against a foe so clearly intent on destroying him, and whatever Saddam may be, he's no imbecile. Plus, he's showing up Bush for the jackass that he is, and taking advantage of the fact that popular opinion abroad is turning against Bush.

I was responding to Carl's post. Not sure who you're talking about, but...

Bush's plan is to invade Iraq, invade Iran, invade any other place that looks weak enough for an easy victory and is convieniently unpopular along the way, and intimidate everyone else into following him unquestioningly. He's a Joe McCarthy for the modern age in every other respect.

Saddam's plan is to survive the next few years and thumb his nose at the US whenever possible.

My plan is to get completely and utterly wasted and die before I reach 40 in some suitably violent and glorious manner.

I meant Hussein; sorry for any confusion there. ;)

I must say though that Bush reminds me of a gung-ho cowboy who is just going on without thinking first. I agree with trying to get Iraq out of the way, but not with some of his other things.

i sincerely doubt Bush intends on invading Iran...*cough*oil trade*cough*  If Iran is invaded, chances are very good government officials there would rather destroy the oil reserves than let the invaders take it, and there goes another quarter of the world's oil.

Iraq I wont go into.

As for Bush intending on invading all other countries that look like easy victories, are you crazy?  Bush is NOT out to start WW III.  Cut back on the liquor and rub some common sense into that thing sitting on top of your neck.

He's started hauling American citizens up before a panel and threatening, harassing, browbeating, and cajoling them into admitting to being [members of some unpopular group] or into falsely accusing others of being [members of some unpopular group]?

Somehow I missed that CNN Special Report.

The Iran thing is one of Bush's biggest blunders in my opinion; Iran is a sworn enemy of Iraq and would be a useful ally in a strike against that nation. Politically, Iran still has a long way to go, but it is much better than Iraq and is moving in the right direction.

Also, that "axis of evil" thing simply should not have been said. Even if the three countries did not cooperate earlier, they may ally against the US now since they are united by necessity. The choice of countries was also a bit messy. (Cuba or Pakistan should replace Iran, for instance)

China is also a dangerous country, but they are slowly moving towards a republic and I don't think that the government there will last much longer in its current state. (it will either move slowly towards a democracy or, less likely but possible, be overthrown by the people)

Yeah, he was the "traitor" in FS1. I wonder if the similarity in the names is just coincidence or not... ;)

bah! Leting Saddam get what he wants so a bunch of crap.  Sorry but the US could have stopped their attempts to pick at us long ago back when Isreal beat the ever living **** out of those Areab League bastards in the 70's.  They put an embargo on us, all we really had to do was cut off all comerical trade since at the time 55% of commerical exports were from the U.S.  But no that would be "not very human" would it?  "Speak softly, but carry a big stick"

Stumbles around and around and around passes out on floor.

"hey baby, why u taste like dirt?"  hmmmmmm you dirty girl.  :p
It's a fact.  Stupid people have stupid children.  If you are stupid, don't have sex.  If you insist on having sex.  Have sex with animals.  If you have sex with an animal.  Make sure the animal is smarter than you are.  Just encase of some biological fluke you and the animal have offspring, they won't be as stupid as you are.   One more thing.  Don't assume the animal is protected.  If the animal has a condom, or if female some interuterian device, insist they wear it.  Help stop this mindless mindlessness.  Keep your stupidty to yourself.  This message was brought to you by the Committee of Concerned Citizens that are Smarter than You are.

He doesn't remind you that, he IS a gung-ho cowboy who is just going on without thinking first.

I read in some poll in the local newspaper that Americans like Donald Rumsfeld because he sais always what he thinks and breaks stuff if he gets angry.

I hope that ain't true, cuz I wouldn't a guy like that within 5 meters of the chair of the Secretary of Defense.

And the Axis of evil stuff...

Man, Bush stepped in a piece of **** this time big.

Messing with Pakistan and China right now could be veery dangerous. They aren't right now best friends, so...

We live in dangerous time. Hopefully it'll change after the next election.
