I need the most basic help with Fraps
In other words: how can I actually start recording? If I press the designated hotkey, it probably starts recording but if I press it again or quit, the video file fails to show up.

Meh no supreme Frapser yet...

Oh you still believe in fairy tales like Santa, the Easter Bunny, and free market competition principles?

Hm, what are you trying to record? From a game or scenes from a movie?
The latter doesn't work always.

During the recording the FPS counter switches the color from yellow to red ( if you enabled the option ).
Also make sure you checked the video box, not the screenshot one.

Video are saved ( usually ) in C:\FrapsVideos, not C:\Fraps.

Actual gameplay. And I didn't enable the FPS counter, should I?

You don't have to. I've recorded lots of stuff using Fraps with the FPS counter off.

Are your Function keys functioning?

They do. Now I'll try a function key what has no ingame function.

FPS counter is useful because that's how you see it's recording.

When the numbers are red, it records, when yellow it's not.

If you have a ****ty computer, it may take a few seconds, like 10-20 for the recording to start from the moment you pushed the button.

Yeah, use the FPS counter.

Also, it should say somewhere in the config window where it's saving stuff
