That would actually get me pumped up lol

I have some taste, you'd probably get something you recognize...

...or maybe not if it was You Get To Burning, but then it's your own damn fault.

"You get to burning!
Kimi rashiku hoko rashiku mukatte yo
Muchuu ni natta hibi ga
Yume no kakera sa

You get to burning!
Sono kakera o atsumete
Asu o mezasu
Yuuki, mieru yo to be...
Going your day's. grow up!"

Spoiler:
The moment the Temeraire and its battlegroup jumps in to assist the Orestes attacking the Sathanas is awesome simply because Aim starts playing at the very moment they all jump in.

How about some Rawhide (or Moskau) while doing a barrel roll?

Honestly Metal would just kill the feel of space combat for me. :doubt:
Anything with vocals is just horrible space battle music if you're involved with it. Watching one isn't all that bad, especially when they use a choir like Immediate Music tracks do.

Aim is an excellent track for space battles, Lethal Laser and No Retreat from Darkstar One are also good.

I can say though Dilmah G has a good selection himself.

I think he meant what kind of J-pop it is, not what J-Pop means.
Exactly :)

I've seen something similar done in a Youtube video of a guy playing through a shmup. Had a heavy metal soundtrack all the way through, then he put "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" as the music during the boss battle, with the caption "You weren't expecting that, were you."

I lol'ed hard. :)

Disco Inferno and YMCA are also pretty appropriate if it was a comedic campaign.

It mostly depends on what kind of metal, though. For example, I was thinking of using Metallica, but after some testing I determined that just wouldn't work. You need something really grandiose. I've gotten good results with Dream Theater. As for the vocals, to me it isn't a problem as long as the campaign doesn't have voiceovers. I can't listen to two voices at once, that's just confusing.
It mostly boils down to personal preference, I suppose.

That song again?

Darius' Joshua Menu is VERY fitting menu music.
His Joshua III is good ambience music.
His Joshua II is good battle music.

IRC. You can get on from the 'Home' tab on HLP. Click the 'clink this link' button in the announcements and type in 'GTSVA.'

Alternatively, follow colecampbell's idea.

Bang Camaro, FTW. :pimp:

I listen to them while I play Halo 3, and it works quite well. :D
Not the heaviest rock like Judas Priest, but I like it plenty.

I agree with your notion of vocals making bad battle music, but Bang Camaro uses a 20-man choir that I think blends in quite well to the background.
Some kickass guitar solos too, IMHO. :pimp:
Fun while it lasted.

Then bitter.

You could hear 'Thunderstruck' played full-bore from just about anywhere in the college.

I feel like one could make a great many kickin' FS videos set to the sweet sounds of AC/DC.

I could always picture the game being set to the Supreme Commander OST...

EDIT: And also this.

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.
