Ok, Blackhole. I finally managed to talk to my counselor, and my IQ is 142!

What I find interesting is that my communications score is 160, which is weird.

I assume people understand that there are hundreds of IQ tests, and those designed for children (I see that Titan is 13), use a different scoring system where the IQ is not calculated by the scorer's position regarding the general population, but to their intellectual development regarding a supposed goal, which is normally used to see if they have mental disabilities and whatnot.

I can spell long words, but with everyday words I constantly screw up.

For me, it's words with a's and u's in them for some reason, I always get those wrong, oh, and the word regularly, which I tend to spell with only the first 'l', probably because that's how most Londoners pronounce it

If you got an IQ of 142, then the IQ test you were taking was not properly normalized to the standard as defined in the wikipedia article.

Although the term "IQ" is still in common use, the scoring of modern IQ tests such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale is now based on a projection of the subject's measured rank on the Gaussian bell curve with a center value (average IQ) of 100, and a standard deviation of 15, although different tests may have different standard deviations.

IQ tests can be used to get an idea of certain kinds of intelligence (they usually fail utterly at measuring creativity), but the key thing is that you have to compare your scores with other people who took the same test. Trying to compare IQs from different IQ tests is like trying to compare playing cricket with flying a jet airplane.

Your IQ would also be higher then mine, which I find highly unlikely for a multitude of reasons  (After taking 2 or 3 IQ tests I think my IQ is about 130)

Intelligence is an awful lot like gravity. We know what it does, we can see its effects, but we don't know what exactly it is or why it exists.

Also, a lot of psychologists don't really give a rat's @$$ about your total IQ, just the difference between the two types. Just sayin'.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is what you've accomplished, and accomplishment has never been and never will be tied to IQ.
