Re: File size for freespace open? Why is there no mention?
Will the GoG thing come with a disk? I'm paying 90 bucks a month for 12 GB. Gona be cheaper paying $6 for a probably equally large file than trying to download it illegally
The Good Old Games distribution is download only, as far as I know. However, once you download it, you can burn it to a disk, which is probably a really good idea. Anyway, I'm sure you'll use a similar amount of bandwidth if you download either the GoG one or a illegal copy, so, even though we'd prefer you bought the GoG one, we can't make you.

Also, off-topic, I know, but:

Subscribing to telstra was the biggest mistake of my life. I'm going for iinet once my 2 year contract expires lol
I've got the same plan as you. Although it's been fine for me, our special deal ends in a few months, so I'm not sure what we're going to do then - we're not going to start paying $60 per month, but I don't think I would be allowed to end the contract and go for another provider (I like the look of TPG). :sigh:

Well Im paying $60 bucks for internet and line, WITH DISCOUNT. Can't stand it.

Just wondering, but where do ya'll live that your limited to a certain bandwidth?  i've had plenty of different ISPs here in the states, and have never had a bandwidth limit.  :wtf:

Australia.
Our network is getting an overhaul (if politicians can be believed) at some point.

Where are you?

Thank god for unlimited bandwith in Oregon.  Since Oregon is also a major development area for hi-tech companies, namely Intel, Tektronix, IBM, and tons of others, internet is dirt cheap here and blisteringly fast.  I've got fiber optics and I think 24+ MB/sec speed due to recent hardware upgrades Verizon did.  :D

Just tested it and I got 10.2 Megabit/sec but I'm also behind 3 firewalls.  I'm a little paranoid with security...

Bummer to hear that you only get 12 Gb a month.  I would kill myself.  I probably do 12 Gb about every 3 days...

Re: File size for freespace open? Why is there no mention?
Well I have about 20mbps but 12gb limit. If I paid a hundred bucks instead of 90, I'd get up to 90gb (virtually unlimited for me).
However, I usually don't exceed the limit.

I miss my superspeed unlimited and cheap broadband back in singapore......
Though it's 25mb/s it is WAYYY faster than my current one, this one says 20 but probably only 10.

At least you won't ever make the infamous ISP mistake again.  Now I think you realize that signing a ~$2,000 contract needs to come after you do some research...
