I have to write a paper on technology for school. I have to submit the title and source or sources by, well, today.
I still don't know what to do. I thought of a hybrid vs diesel paper but I couldn't find a good, single source.

Well, you could always explore MOSFETs (you can write at just about any level of detail on them - they're fun, interesting and relevant)

On technology

1. Introduction

This paper will talk about technology, because someone told me to write about technology, i'm really not all that interested in writing a paper, but i am interested in technology.

2. Main Argument

Technology is kinda cool because it allows us to poop in a loo and not in the wild and have warm water to bathe and it gifted us with computers so we can write all can of silly smartass comments and eventually it will take us to the stars where we can use warp nodes but then the Shivans will come and nuke Vasuda Prime but its all good because the Lucifers shield don't work in subspace and thank to our advancement of understanding in technology and interstellar societies we will be able to form an alliance with the Vasudans and built the biggest Starship ever built that makes the Enterprise kinda look silly and tiny, except that the Shivans actually will blow it up and we will have to sacrifize Capella and protect Civilian transports while the Shivans use their very scary technology to blow up a sun but its all good because we collapse the warp node and they can't get to us and i'm sure technology will have advanced by leaps and bounds before they find us again.

3. Conclusion

Technology is kinda cool but can also be dangerous.

P.S. Not as dangerous as Shivans tho.

P.P.S. When in a pinch and having to find "SOMETHING" to use as a source in paper "FAST"... use the free previews on google books. It's not good research practice to just piece something together from whatever you find available without really delving into the matter... but in a pinch, it's better than having no paper i guess lol

b.) How long does it have to be?
c.) Isn't it a bit late?

Pretty much everything that has ever been made was or is technology or uses it.  Technology of video games perhaps?  Maybe even fantasy tech of FS2?  Dose it say anywhere it has to be real tech?

What year/subject is this for? High school? Uni? I assume from your example it's fairly broad based and you can pick more or less whatever you want? If you can pick whatever you want choose something obscure yet important to industry like minerals processing or steel refining or something since there'll be a tonne more technical information on that than there might be on something like Hybrid engines, where you'll have to wade through masses of dumbed down hippyspeak.

Oh, I know, do nuclear reactor design. There's a beautiful progression from Generation 1 up to modern Generation 3 and 4 with plenty of theoretical Gen 5 designs to talk about the future, pluss there are hundreds of images on the net, some of which are really great, Plenty of reputable and detailed sources with an easily accessible mix of technical and "public consumption" (i.e. dumbed down) information if you're only doing this for high school or something.

Or hell, do nuclear weapons if you want something more interesting and easier. Just as nice a progression with way less branching than reactors (You really only need to talk about a few major advances in fission weapons (Gun, implosion and boosted I guess) then fusion weapons and a little bit on unconventionals), but you have similar access to useful diagrams (though you have to wade through a lot of mushroom clouds).

Just pick something easy.

Ah heck i remember a presentation about "the nuclear bomb" from back in high school...  i could never figure out how something that is inherently so technological cool and scary at the same time could end up being made so boring in class LOL.

funny, i did papers on both nukes and 3d graphics. tech is just really easy to write about.
