Ship Creation Q's

For my own enjoyment, I am currently interested in putting all four gunpoints on the perseus, into one gunbank.  I have played around with a couple things in ships.tbl, but have had no success.  If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

You need to modify the model (.pof) to link each of the banks into one bank. Use PCS2 for that.

I have now decided that I actually want to create my own modified version of the Perseus, and have modified and renamed the .pof, as well as creating a proper table entry for it.  However, at this point i am stumped as to how to get the ship into FRED so that I can add it to missions...

And I managed to get the answer I needed on IRC!  I simply had to append -mod foldername to a shortcut to FRED.
