Re: Father beats his seven year old son to death
I'll forgive him, then light him on fire and throw him in a pit.(OK, maybe not  :ick: )

Everyone is so gods damned concerned for prisoner rights and all that jazz.  What about the rights of the victim?

My real question is why are prisons almost like resorts?
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

Because a large percentage of prisoners did not commit a real crime.

At some point people will have to realize that understanding why someone does something is not the same as forgiving it.

Make an effort to untangle the man's motivations, understand what happened, lynch him, and then act to prevent such atrocities in the future.

I like my version better

Oh, that's right, I forgot. The only way to deal with the immoral is to be equally immoral.
Pretty much.

I wish we could deny protection to criminals in prison, like child rapists and murderers. Why can't we just turn a blind eye to some good ole fashioned prison rape and beatings (let's see how YOU like it, freak)? Of course, stop short of killing him, but why shouldn't he get a taste of what he's done, eh?
Because it's wrong, duh.

I thought that's why everyone gets so riled up about cases like this in the first place, no?

American prisons are full of dangerous gangs, I would hardly consider that to be like disneyland.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Let's look at the brochure, shall we?

Oh, back massages with toothbrush shanks. I've got this wicked knot back there that should sort out. Lots of sun and sand in the concrete prison yard. I'll have a tan in no time! Great companionship from fellow guests. Sure, they're neo-nazis, skinheads, and a dozen other assorted gangs, but hey; company's company.

****! This **** sounds awesome! I'm gonna go out and find me someone to shoot. BRB.

Difficult to understand how can you come so angry at a boy to actually do that kind of damage.

Let's just hope it doesn't happen again any time soon.

It must be easy to just invoke dispositional conclusions and then ride off into the sunset, mustn't it? In a way I envy you. If only we could all so easily turn people into animals, we'd be less burdened.

HEY! I object! Don't offend the poor animals!

I've seen kids do that kind of damage to other kids, but really, as a parent I too have no idea how you can let that kind of anger out on your own offspring.

All right, all right. Non-human animals, as they say in scientific circles.
