End of Michael Jackson,
One link among many to come

Michael Jackson is dead at the age of 50.  This one was on the news, everywhere.

Re: End of Michael Jackson,
CNN still is reporting him as hospitalized.

Updated just as I posted that.  He is apparently in a coma.

Re: End of Michael Jackson,
There seems to be many conflicting reports and i dont think there has been any official announcement from medical staff as yet.

Re: End of Michael Jackson,
Yea 2 sources have him dead but CNN says they can't confirm it and he is still listed as being in a coma.

What a freak. He made great music back in the day but then he lost his mind. Oh well.

Re: End of Michael Jackson,
That's because large news organizations like to really be certain about something. :p Hence why people are still doubting this. I classify any Times as being large enough to be trustworthy.

LA Times is really big - easily the biggest in California.  If they say it's true, it's definitely true.

A very talented singer, and a complete freaking wierdo.

I get the feeling he was never really happy, always looking to become a child again, I hope he has some peace now.

Re: End of Michael Jackson,
Don't know his spiritual life, but given his raising I have to expect that he has peace for the first time in many many years.  For this I am thankful.  He led a very tragic life.  Like him personally or not, you cannot deny his accomplishments or his fame.  Few others in our world have ever been as famous as he while they yet lived.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

LA Times isn't really a good paper though. I grew up with the Washington Post; there's just no comparison. Frequently the San Diego local, the Union-Tribune, has better coverage than the Times (although the Times undoubtedly does better human-interest bits).
