Don't know who's doing what, but for those Merkins who post here, we're grilling steaks and burgers and bratwursts and whatnot, lighting low powered explosives on fire and probably drinking lots of adult beverages in some quarters.  BTW, this is a celebratory thread keep your negative comments to yourself or start a new thread.

My inexperienced self already managed to screw up grilling hamburgers, but I guess that's par for the course.  A few of the neighbors have enough fireworks to set up a professional display, so that should be fun.

Watched the New York fireworks show, least 45 minutes of pyrotechnics.  I must admit its pretty amazing what they can accomplish these days.

We went out to a local bball game (we do every year). Our team won! (We're teh locals ^_^) and afterwards we had fireworks.

I went and visited my hometown. No fireworks because we've been having a drought, so there's a burn ban. Also, a HUGE fire broke out in the nearby countryside. I found myself driving towards the giant plume of smoke to hang out at a friend's house.
