New options for radar images
Well... Mostly just for radar images, though they could be used with standard blips as well if that is wanted (needs moar coding though)

Code: [Select]
"crosshairs"
"blink"
"pulsate"

So, draws small crosshair to indicate current target on radar screen, or blinks (out of existance and back), or pulsates (size pulses), or appears larger than usually.

Opinions?

Re: New options for radar images
Pretty good idea.     First useful idea that comes in my mind is a different symbol for capital ships (while keeping the strength of the blip according to it's distance). i.e. Dots for fighters, cross (or maybe a square) for capitals

Re: New options for radar images
Wouldnt it be rather simple to use bitmaps and radar images? That is just draw crosses/squares/circles something?

Re: New options for radar images
Sounds like maybe Starman01 was unaware of the existing radar images feature?

As for myself, I'm not sure what this new bit is about... where would these strings be used? What do they do? Etc....

Re: New options for radar images
These strings would be used to define preferred method of highlighting current target's radar blip on both 2d and 3d radars.
