Unfortunately not.  You can backup your pilot periodically just in case.  Just copy your pilot or the entire data\pilots directory to a save. 
No-one ever listens to Zathras. Quite mad, they say. It is good that Zathras does not mind. He's even grown to like it. Oh yes. -Zathras

It's strange how often other people get a corrupted pilot. I only had one ONCE and it was an FS2 pilot who played Derelict, FSPort, Inferno and Standart FS2 parallel :ick:

Does crazy Software Engineering for a living, until he finally musters the courage to start building games for real. Might never happen.

Same here.  Doesn't happen often but it does.  Heck I had one corrupt on the first mission the other day.  Of course there was a bug involved during mission load.
