Hey, I have a serious problem finishing the FS2 campign. I'm currently in the mission where you have to cover the escaping convoys (right after "Clash of Titans II"). When the mission loads I already get some error (how do I get the log as text file?). After the supernova warning I head for the jumpnode and jump out - and the game just drops me back to the main menu. Same thing happens if I get killed.

I'm using Win Vista 64bit (SP2), FS2 SCP 3.6.10 + MediaVPS 3.6.10 Re-Release, including the "Clash of Titans II" mission fix. I hope somebody has an idea how to fix this.

Use a debug build (one of those with a "d" in the filename). The debug log will be saved in the data folder in your FS2 directory; It'll be called fs2_open.log. Run the mission, then post the log here.

This might sound a bit mad, but maybe it's supposed to happen. At least, you are supposed to be dumped to the mainhall at the end...

There should have been a few cutscenes before it dumped you to the mainhall though.

Nope. Always thought that it is optional to have OGG format cutscenes. Shouldn't there be cutscenes from the stock game anyway?

There's a problem with those cutscenes and the GOG install. GOG puts the movies into the data2\ and data3\ directories, FSOpen will not find those. And considering that the ogg cutscenes are more efficient, there is a good reason to use them.

Ye, got the GOG version aswell. Downloading the OOG cutscenes now, thanks for your help everybody! 
Still, somebody might wanna take a look at the error log...

You missed all the cutscenes man. You might want to check out the tech room and watch the older ones before you replay that last mission again.

Where do I find the VP version of the OGG cutscenes and how do I install it? Only find the official ZIP package with the single cutscenes.

And you install it by unpacking it, and then dropping the vp into your FreeSpace 2 directory.

That's the ZIP file, not the VP format one.

And what do you doi with zip files? You unzip them. There is a vp inside that zip. Surely you have dealt with zip files before?
