check unread posts since last visit , when you have gone through everything that you wanna read , use the mark all as read.....

Hi, I don't know what happened, but now when I click "show new replies", I get 71 pages of threads... I only had half a page.  And there are threads that I am the last poster in that are marked as 'unread', and none of the posts were edited.  Just so you know... maybe it's only my account, I dunno.

We have a forum backup from just a few days ago (Thursday).  Can't we just copy the "messages read" table from the backup forum to the live forum?

For four pages?  Announcements are supposed to be restricted to the first post in a thread only.  All subsequent posts are discussion.  If a new announcement needs to be made, it should be made in a new thread.

Anyway, I've added a news item.

And why can't we import the old "message read" table?  Is it a case of laziness, technical difficulty, or technical impossiblity?
