So my current job is amazing. It's an all expenses paid road trip across the US, pays about $1000 a week, as a field technician. No specialized training or education required, just availability to be away on business for 3-4 weeks at a time.

The boss says they're looking for more people--and I need a partner. So! I know solicitation is frowned upon here but A) it's an AMAZING job B) You get to hang out with me for a few weeks cruising around the country C) it pays really well and D) they need more people ASAP, and they rely on their existing trusted associates to find other trustworthy people.

You get the idea... field technician can mean a lot of things depending on the field of work.

It's servicing point-of-sale stations at various retail chains. High security work. No qualifications necessary, as far as I'm aware, except of course for the necessary background checks.

After talking with BlueFlames today, I should note that this is a comissioned position, not hourly or salaried, without benefits--so if you have a permanent position, you should definitely stick with it. If you're unemployed or just working temp jobs, though, gimme a call. Time is very important, by the way, so let me know ASAP.

You can make a ton of money on commissioned work. If it's an intro job (something you do for a summer during/after college) it can be a great idea.

It's not sales work, either. I'm paid $50 for every store I service in a day, which is between 4 and 6.

Expenses need to be paid up-front. Saturday evening, you fill out an invoice with your room, travel, and food expenses on it, as well as the store numbers you've serviced. Submit this report via email on Saturday evening and FedEx at the earliest opportunity. Checks usually arrive on Thursday.

Training is done on-the-job, probably by me. It's nothing more than memorizing a procedure, which is spelled out in front of you step by step anyway, and can be done in one day. With practice, by the fourth or fifth store, you'll be fine.
