hi dont know where to post this so move it somewhere else if it needs to be.

i'm having trouble with the btrl demo i load it up and it works fine until it gets to the tech room, ship select, weapon select and the actual game. the game just stops a box saying ‘freespace canot run at the moment’ comes up and it stops. I tried debug mode but this comes up

I’ve tried doing that but I cant then this comes up

There should be a file called fs2_open.log in your data folder. Please post that here.

Okay, first of all, you are missing the patches for btrl that were released; Unfortunately I have no idea if they are mirrored anywhere. The original download links are quite dead.

Second your video card is pretty crappy, in fact, it's right on the edge of not being able to play FS2_Open.
You should also set your desktop and the Launcher's graphics settings to use 32 bits of color depth.

No, that's a link to the autopatcher, which is supposed to download the actual patch. Doesn't work anymore.
