Your comments on this pitch for a T-V War campaign
"Battle for Vega, or the destruction of the 4th Terran Fleet"

Edit : Vasudan Campaign

Here is a campaign I would like to do when I have time (maybe soon, maybe in one year). Or maybe I will never do it because I will lose interest in one year. Or maybe I ll start it but never finish it. In those latter cases, consider this thread "as for fun".

4 important places :
The Beta Aquilae - Vega node - Vega side
A Vasudan starbase in Vega
The Vega - Deneb node - Vega side
A Vasudan starbase in Deneb

Personal Objectives :
- It must feels like a real military campaign.
- Both sides must have a limited number of assets : if a ship is destroyed, it will not appear again. If it is not, the player will face them again or fly with them. There is 1-2 PVD and 9 Aten in total, and 2 GTD, 3 GTC Leviathan and about 10 GTC Fenris in total.

1. [Deneb] Player is a new trainee, and is having one more training mission, in Deneb. It is a tutorial, nothing harder to shoot than drones.

Between 1. and 2. : terran launch a massive attack on Vega from Beta Aquilae (2 GTD, 3 Leviathan, about 10 Fenris). The Beta Aquilae - Vega node is only defended by fighters, 2 - 3 Atens and an early Vasudan Destroyer (you will never see it in mission anyway so I call it how I want), which retreats damaged to a Vasudan starbase in Vega.

2. [Vega - Deneb node] GTA tries to blockade - rush the Vega Deneb node with Destroyer #1 (GTD Lincoln, preferably not an Orion but since I will probably have no choice let's assume it is one) and other assets. Unknowingly to the GTA, the Vasudans have their new Typhoon and 3 Atens on the other side, and tries to counter the GTA rush by jumping in (with everything the PVN could find in Deneb, for instance PVT and PVFr) in order to break the blockade. The rookie form suicide squadrons to destroy the Orion, but since the player proved himself good in mission #1, he is one of the few rookies not assigned to this suicide missions. The Lincoln jumps out, with some of its escort, depending how the player did (the Orion cannot be destroyed but one of its fighter bay is destroyed by the suicide pilots, and will remain so until the end of the campaign).

[Not seen] Meanwhile, the second Orion (The GTD Eisenhower) and the largest chunk of the GTA fleet attacks the starbase in Vega, destroying the early PVD.

3. [Vega Starbase] The player must escort "critical" personels out of the starbase to the Vega Deneb node with 2 Aten surviving from the first attack of the GTD Eisenhower + all the Atens that survived mission #2. The GTA commits the damaged GTD Lincoln and several intact GTC (not the ones from mission #2) to harass the player.

[Not seen]The rest of the GTA fleet finishes the starbase off

4. [Vega - Deneb node] Second part of the escort (I will not use a Red Alert). The player must finish the escort but also destroy or make flee everything that followed the Escort Convoy (including the Lincoln, but it jumps out very quickly). Since the Starbase has been destroyed, the rest of the GTA fleet will jump anytime to blockade the node for good, so the player must be quick. This will allow the Typhoon to mimic a intersystem jump while it actually jumped somewhere VERY, FAR, AWAY, in the system.

5. [Beta Aquilae - Vega node, or maybe a new repair base in the system] The player on the "escaped" PVD Typhoon attacks the damaged and depleted GTD Lincoln and other GTA assets that the player damaged but did not destroy in previous missions. The GTA thought the PVD had jumped out so did not take additionnal measure to defend them, so they are easy preys.

The appearance of the PVD Typhoon out of thin air is bad news for the GTA, since it means they don't know where they should put their remaining Orion, where they should put the fighter and their others assets. This also means they cannot receive renforcement / supply for their blockade, since the Typhoon cold ambush it. Except with massive escort, which would weaken the blockade.

5bis maybe. A filler mission with the Typhoon. Like convoy attack.

6. [Deneb - Vega node] Since the GTA decided to split their forces to escort the supply (and maybe orbital bombardment team if this can be accepted by canon), the Vasudan tries to break - again - the blockade through a coordinated attack. THis time, the GTA has had time to have an effective blockade : turrets, lots of things flying around, etc... But the PVD TYphoon come from the good side of the node. And since the time of attacks for the PVN fleet in Deneb was prepared in advance (no internode communication), the player must very quickly destroy the enemies and turrets closest to the node.
Conclusion => Huge loss for the GTA. The Eisenhower jumps out.

7. [Beta Aquilae - Vega node] The PVN is back in force, and the GTA is retreating. The PVN tries to intercept and destroy most of what is left of the fleet before they jump to Deneb. Realising it has not a chance and won't reach the node, the GTD Eisenhower puts up a last fight / duel against the Typhoon, and ultimaly loses it.

Any comment / suggestion ?
