Something silly I came up out of boredom
I was bored this afternoon, so I decided to try something creative. It's silly, but it wasn't my intent to be any serious.

Quote
One day in the distant future, in 2334, a Vasudan youth was taking a bath on board the PVD Prophecy after a bloody engagement in the Antares system. He was to make an appointment with a farseer renowned for the accuracy of her predictions. He was excited to hear about his future, so he was mindful enough of stepping out of the shower cabin. He had heard stories of Terrans – ignorant and arrogant beings - dying for this very cause.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a farseer, especially for pilots who might die any day. Normally, persons pursuing such perilous occupations don't bother with such predictions, save for forty billion individuals who belong to a very superstitious species.

When this Vasudan pilot entered the farseer's cabin – granted to her by the benevolent Arcane Magic Division of the Vasudan Parliamentary Empire - , he was greeted by the scary-looking female magician. She put her hands on his broad soldiers and closed her eyes. After precisely 32 seconds and 11 milliseconds, she opened her eyes and told him what she saw.

Terrible events will take place at an unknown point in the future: She saw innumerable four-limbed, turtle-like spaceships gathering in orbit of a sun which will momentarily start to swell menacingly, swallowing everything that is in its way. Then came a flash from events that take place right before the Apocalypse, in which stood this particular pilot, fighting ardently for the cause he believed in, for the compatriots he was sworn to protect. He would go on to do great deeds that will ensure the survival of the fledgling alliance. She knew it far too well that these visions are incompatible; these events must be mutually exclusive. Her conclusion comes quickly: It is up to this youngster to prevent this catastrophe from happening. If he fails, the event that she foresaw will become inevitable. This youngster has the potential to save two races from the savagious intents of a third one. This youngster is a gift to the galaxy.

Long months later, he was sitting lonely in the spacious main hall of the PVD Pinnacle, sister ship of the PCD Prophecy that is rumored to have joined the renegade Vasudan group that had caused some headache for both the Vasudans and those - ignorant and arrogant – Terrans already. He was exhausted. He and his fellow squadmates had narrowly escaped from the clutches of an alien warship that seemed as if it were... invincible. A small group of Terran pilots likewise escaping from Ribos had to be sheltered on board temporarily. He was approached by one of them, who, despite being a recruit, was known for defeating Lieutenant Commander Lerh'tar – a Vasudan Ace – on equal grounds in an asteroid field somewhere in the Betelgeuse system. The fact that the Lieutenant Commander was armed with an advanced primary weapon that did not exist at that time made him hate the Terran all the more.  This – ignorant and arrogant - human looked a bit strange, however. It looks as if there were more red around his nose than a Terran is supposed to. He then sneezed. Yes, our Vasudan hero realized it was a Terran illness. Now not only are Terrans ignorant and arrogant, they are also weak. These aren't stereotypes, he knew; these are well-researched and scientifically proven facts.

Days later, the Vasudan pilot realized he too was ill. Two weeks later, he died.

Though it is unknown if this Vasudan indeed would have become a savior of nearly a trillion beings, as predicted by the farseer, his tale begs for a very important conclusion to those who believe in its authenticity: Capella was the Terrans' fault.

Those ignorant and arrogant bastards.

That is actually a very good piece of story-telling. I enjoyed it. Nice one.
Contrary to rumour, a mojito is actually the manliest drink around, dammit!

Dekker, you know I thoroughly enjoy and approve of your patronage, but your allegiance to the NTF can only go badly for you...
