Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (movie)
Trailer

I didn't even know they were making a movie out of the series.

Also, I'm unsure whether this should be here or in the gaming forum.

There are other threads related to game movies and their parodies in this forum, so you're good.

With that in mind, I will now cause you to experience significant despair:

Well considering his best acting was doing another robot, I'm optimistic!

I'm actually cautiously optimistic about this one.  From what I understand, Jordan Meichner, the original creator of the series, has been heavily involved on the writing side of things, and that trailer seems to have nailed the visual look of the PS2 trilogy.  Guess we'll have to wait and see.

The original creator of Wing Commander was heavily involved in the movie. He wept openly at seeing the finished product. They were not tears of joy.

Actually, that's one of the few previews I've actually thought looked quite promising, normally I'm not a big fan of game-movie crossovers, because they take out the very thing that makes the game a success, the interactivity, but this looks, at least at first glance, quite interesting.
