Was wondering which period in FS history people found the most interesting. It might be helpful to take into account your favorite campaigns while voting.

Post Capella, but I think that TCs are the best thing you can get on FS engine, as you don't have to keep your campaign compatible with FS canon.

I personally think Post Capella is one of the more boring periods, the shivans are gone and its just going to be about rebuilding, civil unrest etc.

I voted Post-Capella just because my own fiction ends up beyond that point.

However, I usually consider story possibilities that start at the end of the Reconstruction Period/Beginning of the NTF Rebellion and often tend to finish up right after the Capella Incident. That area's a gold mine for campaign stories...

Otherwise, I'll often think of "expedition" stories which happen after the Capella Incident.

Yay, I'm the first person to vote pre-contact. Cause I'd like to get round to write a Freespace story for fun, and that's where I'd start. So far I've written a couple of pages a couple of times and gave up.

Just because of the story, and (wow, i never thought i would ever say this) because this really looked "serious".
But once you enter FS2 Universe, it's just "Hostile Configuration!" "Commence Plasma Core insertion!" "Oh noooez they killed us!"

It's the Great War Period to me. Post-Capella and Pre-Contact would be the most creative periods, though.
