you've made your mode (say a bomber), with all the turrets, thrusters and so on in .cob format.
Then imagine: Supermodelview (tm

)
you import each object (thruster, turret, hull, debris and so on) as DIFFERENT pofs (like superbomber.pof, turret.pof and thrusters.pof)
you open Superbomber.pof in Supermodelview (Super isn't it?). you put gun points and so on. Cool. Now you use the Supermodelview SuperFeature: import subobject, and you choose turret.pof. hop, you have the turret.pof merged with superbomber.pof (let say you have defined turret.pof, with gun/missile points, body/barrel and you can -of course- move axis in Supermodelview (because it's supa!), and so on). Now you assign the turret to the superbomber model (magic, you use a new menu called suboject property, and you select "turret". You can nowuse the other new Super Feature: Create hierarchy! hop, you did nothing, Supermodelview did it all for you! it glues the turret as child and so on. Cool no?
Of course, now you want a capship. you make the same thing as before, but you think, now, one turret is really not enough... Never mind, because Supermodelview gots ANOTHER (yes ladies and gentlemen, not one, not two, but THREE!!!! new features!!! Come on and buy it, you won't be disapointed!!!)Superfeature!!! Yeah!!! That's the "copy" one. You selcet the first turret you made, because she's beautiful and have a nice smile, and you copy it everywhere you want on the model ( hop, hop, hop, twelve AAA beam turrets

) Of course, because it's a Super Feature, all the stats (gun points, barrel/body links...) and hierarchy infos are kept (what is obvious without saying it is even more when you say it ;D).
