Joystiq force feedback stops working (force 3D pro)

Hello guys,

I've been having some trouble with my joystick and I was hoping you could help me. I have a Logitech force 3D pro, which is properly detected. Controls work fine, and at first force feedback for pitch, yaw and roll all work. However, as soon as I fire or engage afterburners (and possibly with other commands) force feedback for directional controls stops working (i.e. the joystick becomes "loose"). Has this happenned to anyone?

I'm running Freespace II 3.6.10 Media VPs on windows vista 32.
