Hey all. I hate for my first post (in a while, I do think i have another account, but hell if I remember it's name ) to be some whining post to the effect of "my thing is broken, fix it!" Unfortunately, it kinda is

So, basically, I was playing the standard FS2 campaign with MediaVPs. I got to the fourth mission, as I recall, and then as it loaded said fourth mission, the game crashed. and it kept crashing, and giving me an error. I then tried the debug build, and the error message it gave was this:

I'm running FSOpen 3.6.10, installed by hip63's off-line installer, along with the campaign pack; all from this thread. My FS2 is from GOG.com

I grabbed the log file too, i'll attach it

as for system specs:

Windows 7 64-bit
GeForce 8800 GTS
6 GB RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

and that's really all the important stuff. If you guys need anything else spec-wise, ask, and ye shall receive.

*mumbling* it's undoubtedly something simple, i just know that this is gonna end with a facepalm on my part..

EDIT: to clarify, i can run the campaign without MediaVPs....

I'm gonna try re-downloading the MediaVPs and overwriting the current. I'll update when I get it done.

You're probably missing the patch for the MediaVPs (available here, step 6).

these flags are meant to be used with The Babylon Project and Wing Commander Saga, respectively. Enabling these flags with FSO causes all sorts of weird things, such as Terran "Nooooooooo!" screams when Shivan ships are destroyed.

This is a Blue Planet file -> it belongs to \freespace2\blueplanet\ .

Heh, now i see that.

See? I said this was gonna end in a facepalm on my part, and here it is

as for the blueplanet file, uh, oh, yea, I accidently extracted one of the 3 blue planet mediaVPs to the main one instead of the blue planet folder; I re-extracted it into the right place, but forgot to delete the other one; doesn't matter, Blue Planet works fine...
