I found this thread :http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=56282.0...when I was searching for some "random" creation missions.  Anyone have a working link for this?  I've tried setting up a similar mission in FRED, and well, quite frankly, I suck at building missions.

I'm looking for a good "just get in and shoot things" type of mission.  One where I don't have to worry about plot, dialogue, or goals.  And this random scenario idea sounds like exactly what I'm looking for.  I've modified the "gauntlet" missions for single-player, but there's no variation.

I know that the main reason people are drawn to FreeSpace is it's story-telling capability, but sometimes I don't have the time to sit down and play a full mission.  And after trying to come up with my own in FRED failed miserably, I figured I'd see what other people have done.  The above mission by TopAce is the only one I could find.

Anyone have a link, or any ideas?

I no longer have those missions. I would've sworn I mirrored them somewhere other than PenguinBombs, which died years ago.

That's cool, I appreciate the response.  I'll keep fiddling with FRED (okay that sounded bad).
