Okay, I'm planning to try and interview The big :v: concerning what they think about the board close, that is: how it happened, what they think, their final words to the community etc.

So, please submit questions you want asked here :)

(BTW: I plan to interview HLP, VWatch etc. staff later)

You will interview :v:? Well, good luck.

My question (no way you should ask it, but it would be nice to know):

Would you make a FS3 if you could (if you'd have the rights and publisher)?

It's probably a bit stupid question, you don't have to ask it. :headz: ;)

Why did you close the boards?
Where the hell did the moderators go?
Do you even care?
Are you selling out your morales to boost your profits?
Do you think Interplay screwed you?
Can we have the FS2 source code?
Can we have the cutscene and tech-room models?

Well a guy can dream, no? :) Anyway I'll post this and a few other things as soon as I get a site up and going (now requesting various things from various peoples - very vague :p)

I'd like to know about the possibility of a freespace3, if not from V then from someone else, I.E. would the Intellectual property holders be adverse to a community such as this making a game based on freespace?

the release of the 3dsmax POF export plugin with its source code so it can be recompiled for MAX4.2 would be a boon in the extreme.

I'm not so bothered about the MVE code because MVE is a fairly outdated codec by modern standards.  (huge file, looks ugly)

Well, the plugin would certainly help a LOT, and I really wanted the MVE encoder - since without it, there's no way we can add movies to the campaigns, and all cutscene work I did would go down the drain. Ah, try to ask Pletcher if his offer to encode the movies is still up...

It's so that anyone trying to get pirate copies either has to dl a 400mb file or not get the movie sequences.

If I had one question to ask Volition... hmmm....

Did you abandon Freespace voluntarily, or did your bosses make you?

I can answer that, Interplay made them do it, because it didnt sell well. Totally ignoring the fact that they installed stealth systems on the FS2 box, making it very hard to see and thus buy.

On the question of cutscene and tech room models, be more specific.

Ask for the weapons, the people, and the "sets" from FS1/2. The ships are all the game models save for the Apollo.

If they can't release them, ask 'em why until they do. ;)
