Ship model won't appear!
Hey, i just downloaded the inferno build so i could add more ships, but one of the ship models won't appear! Please help!

Why is there a vp inside the data/missions folder? It should be just placed inside the mod folder directly, right?

I didn't pt it there! I have no idea how the F**k it got there. I'm going to search for that and delete it. I would have deleted it, but i couldn't find it.

I looked for it but there is no vp in there. I don't know why freespace thinks there is, although i did remove a mission file that shouldn't have been there. Do you think i should delete the backups?

I was thinking that he had the data in the TBL in the wrong order.  Notice how the error is:

It wouldn't have anything to do with Species_defs.tbl.  That table defines what species are available (Terran, Vasudan, etc.)
Also, the order that the data is in is VERY IMPORTANT; if you have the data in the wrong order, it will throw an error like this.

Yeah...........MastaRyan, please read the error message. Then open the GTVA-shp.tbm, look at line 553, and fix what is wrong (Here's a hint: It is very, very obvious).

I could tell you what the error is exactly. I could even post a corrected tbm. I'm not going to. Because you need to learn how to do this yourself if you wish to do modding.

Also, I could have sworn seeing an error about species_defs in there. I must be mixing up the logs I'm seeing.

Yeah, i just fixed it, and it was very obvious. I don't know why it took me this long to notice it. The error was that the idiot who created this model sometimes put two of the same entry in the table file. I figured it out by comparing the ship's tbl entry to the table entry of a ship that works right.
