Im surprised this hasnt been asked yet but will Nuclear missles be included as a secondary weapon? In BSG raiders, baseships, battlestars, and raptors could carry them.In game it should be just a really powerful standard missle with a flash of bright light when it goes off.

Judging by this pic, yes.
The green Cigarra seems to be a Nuke.
It also depends on what mission you're flying.

Cool.I saw those but thought they were going to be just regular missles.

Nah, the Green one is a canon Nuke as seen in season 1 ep Kobols last gleaming.

Nukes will be included of course. Watch the second trailer and you'll see footage of the Bolitho getting hit by one at around the 1 minute mark.

Will they have different explosions upon impact and being shot down?
Because in the show the that are shot down have only a very small, non-nuclear explosion, but when they hit, you get the big bang (you can see it in the pilot).

Most likely, can't speak for the team of course, but it's pretty easy to do that and already possible.

You can do that with arm distance. Fuse the weapons (via table) so they only go active when within a certain distance of the target.

Might be an easier way.

It's also possible via $Dinky Impact Explosion.

It would also be cool if theres gonna be different size nukes. You could have a powerful nuke with a large explosion and heavy damage or a mini one that does some damage and has a small explosion.

The ordnance on the far right is verry nice.

Possibly the best missile i've ever seen in a computer game.

Glad you like it, that one's mine :) CTD-17, used to disable stuff. Basically a big EMP generator mounted on a rocket engine. Due to a high payload mass I made it so it looks like the engine has a vectoring thrust nozzle to make maneuvering easier.

One question: why do space-use missiles need fins?

When you use them in the atmosphere, you need fins...

Yep it's not the first time someone's asked that. Considering that Vipers can operate in atmo it stands to reason any ordinance they carry should work there too.

I don't see the Colonial military using nukes prolifigately in atmosphere. Or at all, unless the atmosphere can't actually be breathed.

You can bet they'd be designed for possible atmospheric use, though.

Why? It only tempts people to actually do it. :P

Besides, the nuke really looks like a gravity bomb, not a missile. And while the idea of doing an idiot loop in your Raptor amuses, I'm not sure I'd want to actually try it.

Considerin' the nuke is the only one pictured up there that is canon I don't believe we have much room to speculate on its authenticity.  That said all the ordinance I've designed for the Colonies have been geared towards being aerospace capable.
