I just saw my first tv ad for Final Fantasy XIII.
 
 
I can't wait for it I loved ten and that one with the Archadian empire. . . . . This looks to be on par if not better.

last one I played was the DS version of FFIV (which was awesome...) Never played the PS2 games, even though I had multiple opportunities to do so.

I dunno. These days the FF games seem shorter and are more flashy but don't really bring an improvement storywise or even gameplay-wise. Then again, I haven't played XII and I've heard good things from it.

I did like the trailer, though something about the lip sync bothered me when Lightning's mouth kinda said "Lightning-a."

I've had the (dis)pleasure of playing the first little bit of this on my bro's xBox, and i have 2 thoughts.

The narrative changes protagonists too quickly.  After 3 hours, I've come to the conclusion that Lightning is a self-absorbed *****, Snow narcissitic(sp?) bastard and Hope is so emo he can't even form a proper sentence.

The ATB system is too fast, granted I don't have that magic yet, but neither is my team particularly resilient, I'm spamming pots just to keep from getting run over.  I'll take one order of Turn Based plz.
