how much did the adapter cost?
Not sure if it is still that way, but some two years or so ago I they were around 10 € here were I live.
The problem I have though is, that the F16 doesn't need a PS2 (I have a PS2-USB Adapter from one of my mouses), but it is a gameport plug. You know the kind that looks like the old LPT plugs from printers, only about half as broad.

NO, NO, NO! Not PS2 as in PS2 mouse but PS2 as in Playstation 2.

hHeaddie, the adapter cost about 10 GBP. approximately 2 years ago, but that was from Game!

Thre are now cheaper versions online such these.

I like it because I can use all types of PS2 controllers with it i.e steering wheel and pedals, excellent for racing games.

Logitech Rumblepad 2 gamepad.  It is good enough for single player.

[08:00:11] <Caiaphas> the plane however performed admirably, and only crashed because it no longer had any guidance systems

hmmm, a little steep when you consider that a PS2 style pc joypad is about £10

As a starter yes but I had a plethora of Playstation 2 controllers, steering wheels and pedals, light guns etc, that fit the PS2 that for a one off payment of 10 GBP I could now use fully on the PC. Three new controllers for the price of one, I can even get a decent forcefeedback joystick for the PS2.
