So, what do most people use as their controller for FreeSpace? Personally, I still use the same SideWinder Precision Pro that I used when FS1 came out back in '98. Still works well, though a little loose for most people.

I have a Logitech Extreme3D Pro joystick, but I'm more proficient with the trusty ol' mouse & keyboard.

1st gen MS Force Feedback(the one later bundled with MechWarrior3, though I already had a copy of that

).

Pretty huge thing, but it's the longest lasting stick I've ever had. Afterburner button's a little creaky if I push it too hard, and the hat's finicky about looking right, but other than that, still going strong.

Didn't we just have one of those?

Is that option supposed to be 'keyboard with or without mouse'? Seems like it should be two options.

Keyboard and/or mouse -- Lumped them both in one category because a people would likely use a combination of the two. (Technically, you're going to use the keyboard anyway, unless you have something with tons of buttons, but w/e)

I think it might be more useful to have separate categories for 'keyboard only' and 'keyboard/mouse'.

Wired Xbox 360 controller. Used to use an old Logitech Wingman Force, but I've come to favor the additional buttons on the gamepad.

Yeah...I can't seem to find it though.

Voted joystick, though, really, most of the buttons I press are on my keyboard. Joystick is only for steering.

I used mouse and keyboard until I got a SideWinder II, which for me is useful for evading but not for aiming. The mouse is useful for aiming, not so much evading.

Sometimes I use the mouse to aim, and quickly grab the stick if the situation intensifies...corkscrew circles always seem to work...

To this end I have clicked other, because I refuse to associate keyboard with mouse.

I was raised using joysticks, that stick is like an extension of my body. I don't know how you do it with a keyboard.

I would be using my good old F16 FLCS, but unfortunately my current motherboard doesn't have the fitting slot for it.... so I'm using a Thrustmaster USB joystick. I don't know the exact name, but it's just a mundance 2-axis, 4 buttons joystick.
