Personally, if it happens, I expect it to probably be in the first Cylon War. A prequel to Battlestar Galactica, and a Sequel to Caprica.

Seeming this is one of the places with Battlestar fans, i figured this was a good place to post this above link. Although, the more spin off series there are, the more work the Diaspora team will need to do

This is definitely a good place to post this. A 1st Cylon war series would be expensive in terms of effects work needed - but they state that "it may not be a classic series format". If I'm reading that right they may be considering some mini series format with 1-1.5 hour "episodes" or effectively movies to show the 1st war. We'll see if anything comes off of it. Glad Caprica is getting another season, though. Even tho I had reservations initially it's turning out to be quite good. Looks like SyFy is less silly then FOX even with the new silly name

It could be interesting to base the series in Kobol, or the first earth. Though everyone wants to see the 1st cylon war. With a good 10 years or so of war, there'd be plenty of stories.

I have to say, I wouldn't mind it being movies. The 2 Stargate movies released a couple of years ago seemed to be good, so maybe a spin off series using movies could be quite cool. Assume Syfy is willing to give them the kind of budget they need.

Well a series would be better because we'd simply get more out of that. But failing that movies would be pretty awesome too. I'd pretty much take the 1st Cylon War in any format I can get it

Or it could be about the Final Five on the first Earths cylon war.    Or about the war with the kobolalian cylons.    If its set on kobol we could find out what the Lords of Kobol actually were.    My guess is a race of god like aliens.    AKA fallen angels.

Personally, I think the Kobolian gods are strongly superhuman post-singularity AIs, while the Cylon god is an emergent function of the giant network the Cylons are running.

I hope it will be FCW related, but there's a chance we see big G only from afar, and it most likely takes place on another Battlestar, or, also possible it doesn't focus on one Battlestar ( or the crew of it ).

To bad they scrapped the Galactica set already, but it's still possible to bring the old Ladys interior ( or another BS of that type ) back via CGI.

If it's not a FCW movie/ show, i'd prefer to see the fall of Kobol and the first Exodus.
Watching the fall of the ( Cylon ) Earth would be too similar to Caprica and the attack on the Colonies.

If watching the fall of the cylon Earth would be a bit too much like Caprica, surely the fall of Kobol and the first Exodus would be a bit too much like Battlestar Galactica?

1CW would be awesome.  I really want to see some gratuitous space battles of basestars and battlestars blowing the **** out of each other.  I just hope the producers outsource the CGI to Zoic instead of doing it in-house.
