The method I once suggested was somehow deforming the subspace skybox or doing a similar effect to that of a Supernova on a 'star' at the end until it fills the screen -- either way, making the light at the end of the tunnel appear to rush forward to greet your face...

Does this feature include a way to exit subspace?  With different skybox and star (sun) positions?  What about the skyboxes and suns whilst you are in subspace, are they turned off?  Not complaining, just trying to mention in case it has slipped through the cracks (not very likely, but can't hurt to be safe.  ;) )  If it's not meant to have that feature, that's fine - how hard would it be to do?  Or should i not ask?  :nervous:

This works exactly as mission-set-nebula, it is on/off switch. You can change background with the already existing sexps.

All it takes is a clever use of the background change sexps, covered up by fadeout/fadein.

These can all be accomplished with other SEXPs already.

That's awesome! These new features that come up make me more eager to play the campaign when it comes out, as much as I'd love to see videos of this in action, it would only spoil the brilliance of it happening for the first time. :)

Yay!

But it'll also be handy in enhancing the already-prodigious brilliance of other FREDders' work. I know Axem can make brilliant use of this, and the related show-HUD-gauge SEXP that WiH had added.
