Well of course. The 'Swift Boat Veterans for Truth' stuff was bull**** too, but the masses ate it up. Remember, these are irrational people. Rational people look at the evidence and then draw conclusions; these are people who hold ideas and believe only things that reinforce them, even if they're 'wrong.'

As Colbert has said, reality has a well known liberal bias.
