So I'm new to freespace 2 and I already got a problem

My freespace 2 includes

-freespace2
-freespace open installer(many outdated stuff)
-freespace open 3.6.10
-latest launcher

I followed the *getting started guided*

I got the following problem

-Fail to connect server

So i deleted multi.cfg file and tried again.

Did you register at http://fs2netd.game-warden.com ? Did you enter your PXO/fs2netd login details in the in-game options menu? Did you activate PXO there? Have you read the Support FAQ? Can you do so now and provide us with an fs2_open.log?

PXO was the matchmaking service for FS2, back in 2000. The name is still used in the in-game options menu, despite it being succeeded by fs2netd.

C:\Users\charlie\Desktop\Video\New Folder\Disks\Free Space 2\the desktop is a very dangerous place for a FSO installation. I strongly recommend that you move it to C:\games\freespace2\ or something similar. Note that you can move the entire folder just like that (that is, cut and paste it). You do NOT have to reinstall the game.
