Hi there,

I have the FS 2 version downloaded from GOG today. It syas that it's the latste version, so v 1.2. But i don't no for sure.
I installed using the guidlines from here;

And i did this as werll;

Simply click "Select mod", select "fsport-mediavps" folder from the list, and click "OK". Then start the game, create a new pilot, go to the Campaign Room and select the FS1 main campaign.


The first tut. mission whent well.
But at the second tut. mission i don't see the drones, i cab select the sensors but, there is no damage , they cab't be destroyed, but you can bump into them.

As above i ran in debug mode and got  immediatley a black screen.

The meassage says:




system:
corei7, HD radeon 4890, Win 7

What to do??

1. The problem: no drones.



2. I have run the debug and followed the instructions to the letter for the fs2_open.log;

Debug log shows that you have not installed (i.e. downloaded and extracted) the actual mediavps. All you seem to have is the patch file.

Download what you want (of the three options that are shown in that thread - most likely 'total') and place them to the same directory where the 3610_Patch.vp is
Do not meddle in the affairs of coders for they are soggy and hard to light

I hope it will help.

After downloading the (re)RELEASE: 3.6.10 MediaVPs , do i also have to download the patch file?
Because as you mentionend it's already in the mediavps file.
Or what is the step after that?

No, you don't need to redownload the patch. Just put the other mediavps files into your MediaVPs directory, and it should be ready to go.

Thanks a lot. It worked.
The graphics are amazing!!! Well done!
I will certainly donate to HLP, because this game was and is the best space action sim i've ever played.
And i'am glad that there are so many others who feel the same.
I will be comming back to the HLP community for news, dicussions etc.
