everyone seems to think the world of tim howard, but based on those 4 games i just don't see it.  i saw ONE save that i would call non-routine (i might have missed something, i missed some minutes here and there).  none of the goals are his fault, but more could have been done on some of them.  first one today, take a step into the dive.  that's fundamentals.  goal two, either come out or don't.  he got caught in no man's land.  if your defender looks to be recovering after you've already started coming out, oh well.  take him out too.  as for the actual shot, stand tall and attack it, not fall back and swing your arm at it.  i've seen that from tons of keepers though.

They need to be neutral. They already decided that the Germans will win. If it requires invalidating goals or sending off the entire English team for minor faults, then so be it.

the referee's aren't "with Germany". The just failed to see that the ball was behind the line.
Me thinks, there is a real chance that the English Team will, watch the rest of the WC on TV, if Germany can keep up the pace and find their strength back.

problem is that in this day in age it shouldn't happen, goal line tech dont solve all of the problems but it would have solved this easily

It's a rule, apparently. In any given match between english and german teams, the Ref will always be against the team you're rooting for.

Guys, there are sports which make use of advanced technology (like Formula One) and sports which see a very limited use of available technologies (like football).

I believe football needs a lot of improvement because referees make mistakes very often. Wheter or not they support a team is not that relevant: try to take their place and monitor a match for 90 minutes (or more) from the very same perspective of footballers... it isn't easy. At all.

I've watched two matches (Italy's last and another one, USA Vs. Uruguay) and I could clearly see two valid goals (one for Italy, the other for the USA) being invalidated because of the referees. Is it so hard to form a team of, let's say, 5 referees and let them monitor matches from secret rooms full of cameras? I know this can't be done in most football championships but heh, this is the World Cup!
