I don't really want to put any details online in case Future Employers track me down, but I just pulled an EVE-highsec style suicide gank on another employee for being a misogynistic ****tard. Mutual destruction!

Oh, Battuta. Why are you so bad at dealing with this ****?

I need a new job.

So he was misogenisticallizing the place, and you saw him minding his own biz out in hi-sec and went in an' blew the bejeesus out of him, after which you got jumped and blown to bits, or did yo join his partay and take 'em for a spin where you all got totally wasted?  I'd like to know some details of this battle.
<Nuclear>   truth: the good samaritan actually checked for proof of citizenship and health insurance
<Axem>   did anyone catch jesus' birth certificate?

I don't want to provide details, I feel like ****. I loved that job and my bosses loved me.  :(

I don't know if it was worth it. I could have handled this so much better.

Wait, what?  Voluntarily or involuntarily?

I told you, it was a suicide gank. I took actions that forced the boss to fire both of us.

Which was really stupid because he was already on a watchlist and I was a top performer and a favorite.

So just like when it happened on HLP I really feel like I need to work on how I handle this issue.

Egad.

Well, it definitely stinks to lose your job, especially in this economic environment. :-/  I wish you luck on your job search.

Will you be able to get decent references out of your now-former employer?

ETA: if you're truly concerned about future employers finding this thread, incidentally, I don't think you should have it at all; they won't know specifically what you did, but they can know you, possibly deliberately, "Took actions that forced the boss to fire both of us." Details or no, that's going to raise eyebrows.

I will ask that you explain yourself. Please do so with the clear understanding that I may decide I am angry enough to destroy all of you and raze this sickening mausoleum of fraud down to the naked rock it stands on.

I agree, but sadly enough I feel like the emotional rewards of sharing it with HLP are worth it.  :(

I'd only had the job for three days. I got it in six hours on the strength of my resume in the field (political canvassing) and while I could've made a decent amount of money, it was only a summer job.

Well, that sucks, but I'm sure you learned at least something from it which will help you in your future endeavors.

Things like: Don't self destruct unless you really need to, or if it'll look really good on youtube.

How 'bout you write a few sequels to your opus thingie now.

Well, that was fast. Wht exactly did you do to get yourself fired?

Went off on the person in question. Verbally. In the field rather than in the office.

Smooth. Next time find a better way of dealing with it that gets the asshole fired and not you.

I have an idea, genius. Let's pretend that I've already expressed my regret a few times right here in this thread, okay?
