Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
Technically...it could be just that. A Level I parallel universe located in another Hubble Volume, separated merely by distance rather than any kind of dimension or universe gap. But that would be a heck of a long-range jump.

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
Could any of you recommend a mod with a great story? I really likes this one.

But I don't like campaigns that are just "GAH SHIVANS KILLIN UR PPLZ."-Massive battle. No real thought. Next level
"SAME CRAP AS YESTERDAY LOLOLOL"

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
If you want a good story then you either want Blue Planet (as you've seen) or Ransom Arceihn's work. I think Transcend and Windmills are his best so far. The Procyon Insurgency also had a pretty good story, though it didn't really come to a satisfying conclusion.

There are a number of other pretty smart ones as well. I need to play campaigns like Storm Front to see if they should be on these lists too.

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
I loved Transcend, I played it last year. I'd play Windmills, but i'm looking for something bigger. 25-40 missions or more if possible. I'd love to have more full sized campaigns. Short campaigns tend to annoy me. I don't know why, but they do. I like to really be immersed in a game, not just thrown into the cockpit and told what to shoot at.
Thanks for the suggestions though. I'll probably end up playing almost every campaign here lol.

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
Windmills...isn't quite what you're thinking.

Seriously, play it. You're not going to be thrown into any cockpits. In fact you won't be in a cockpit at all...

There are very few good, long, story-based campaigns out right now. But in the near future you can check out the anime-inspired Wings of Dawn, TopAce's branching Descendants of Sol, and Axem's incredibly artistic and honed Vassago's Dirge (the last of which is short but will give you more 'whoa' moments than almost anything else.

If you want to go way back, there's 'Sol: A History', from the now-defunct but awesome Inferno R1 continuity. It is long and allegedly has a good story.

Spoiler:
Wait, what? I thought it was his sister on the transport? Did I miss something obvious, or was it explained in the techroom or something? Also, the first time through I didn't notice that it was the same name, though that could probably give it away... :nervous:

Nope. One is his mother, the other his wife.

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
You can never go wrong with the classics.  Try Derelict and Inferno/Inferno Alliance.  Both are pre-scp mods that have been patched for SCP.  Great stories, but they don't take advantage of some of the newer feature (and some of the older models in INFR1 and INFA are downright fugly)

Re: OMFG THAT WAS AMAZING
If you thought Inferno Alliance had a good story, you might enjoy such activities as watching paint dry or measuring the average length of grass on a field. Seriously, that mod's story was utterly dull. The only attraction for that mod was the modpack.

Right after playing the original FS2 campaign I loaded BP, and didn't regret it. The only bad thing was that after 1 day of playing it was over too fast ;)

Epic story, and the end totally got me off guard. I'm seriously looking forward to the sequel.
Great job everyone who contributed!
