Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
... I have no idea how to download them. The Cerberus Network thing stumps me. I can't seem to find a link on ME2 page. How does I DL them?

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
On this topic, I really liked the Kasumi and Overlord DLC. They felt like self-contained short stories that happened to take place in Mass Effect-land, a lot more so than most of the game's other side-quests, and I think it's largely because Shepard isn't the star of the show. In both missions s/he's barging in on a lot of personal history.

I think I enjoyed them more than the game's retail offerings, to be honest.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
The Overlord DLC made me sad at the end. :(
I did like it though, as I did the Kasumi DLC.

ME2's DLCs were considerably better than ME1's.

...or for that matter any other DLCs I've played.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
The Kasumi one was okay, but not great. The party scene didn't have much dialogue or anything else to do. I liked the Zaeed one better.

The Firewalker one was good as well. It had practically nothing to do with the rest of the game, but it's the first time I've done mountain jumping with hovertanks since Battlezone 2. I never played the Overlord one though.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
The Overlord one is excellent, and has some awesome music as well (which annoys the hell out of me since that means it's not on the soundtrack or easily available to someone with the Xbox version).

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
Firewalker bored me to tears, so I didn't even consider looking at Overlord. Hmm. Maybe.

That dosen't work for me, i have registered my copy of ME2 but it dosent show up on my profile site, the game it seems to register is DA. The only way i can get the downloads is by booting up the game and loging in to cerebus and just clicking on the download new content on the main menu. Some of it is good, Zaeed, Overlord. The most of it i would say is not that good as its mostly new skin textures one or two new weapons, which cost a bit.

I also have a question about Mass Effect 2, At the moment there is a problem with the broadband line, British Telecom have said that the lines need replaced but there not going to do it anytime soon, so my connection is on average speed 11.0 mbps (was 54), signal strength very low, which means my connection also keeps dropping so its nearly impossible to connect to the Cerberus network, and i am in the middle of a game with most of the DLC. Is there away to use the stuff which i have paid for, without the network as i have no idea if or when bt is going to fix the line or am i screwed?

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
Firewalker was a tutorial for the Hammerhead, outside of that context it was a poor DLC.
Overlord is the best of the ones out so far as it feels a lot like Mass Effect 1 and actually has some sections where you need to think and do puzzles. (though they can be solved by a five year old xD)
Kasumi is worth the money if you want to do multiple playthroughs. The mission is mediocre, but she's a useful squadmate.

No, they're not. Bring Down The Sky still trumps the ME2 DLC. Overlord comes close. BDTS was better.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
No it wasn't, Bring Down the Sky was just like all of the other missions involving the Mako, generic, with the same base used in the others, and not fun to navigate. Not to mention all of the bases bar the last were pretty much the same.

Agree to disagree, we shall.

BDTS made skillful use of the Mako, had lots of extras and easter eggs to find, things to vary the driving segments, the Fusion torches were similar because they were prefab structures, and the last section was excellent, challenging and had a neat moral choice (And for that matter, so was meeting Balak's henchman and choosing to let him go or not)

ME2 has yet to ever produce anything with that level of quality.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
What easter eggs do you speak of?

I agree that Mass Effect 2 poses you with some obvious choices. (no Gray area, be good or be evil) but as was said, BDTS was mostly just prefabs. I expect more for $5

I got it for free, joys of being an ill-used PC player.

The Radio station that you can find on one particular hill in BDTS springs to mind as the "obvious" easter egg.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
I really liked Bring Down the Sky for its lose-lose moral quandary, but I found the stories told by the ME2 DLC to be far more remarkable. Kasumi's felt like an over-the-top action-thriller short while Overlord was, well, you know.

Re: Mass Effect 2 DLCs...
And there's going to be a Liara DLC. Godammit. I think I'll hold off on Overlord and Kasumi and Liara and so on until they're bundled together the way Fallout 3's were (yes, I'm making an assumption, but...), but I'll get them eventually.
