Huh? Did somebody say 'japs' or something?
People offend too easily.
Tru dat, that's like getting offended for being called a "Brit" or a "Scot". Same thing, just a shortening of my nationality.
Seriously?
No racial epithets please, I'm in a household with internment camp veterans and if they see it on mah screen they'll flip out.
That is serious **** right there. Jap is a racial epithet with a bad history.
So has Scot, you know, started out as a racial epithet used by the English and all. You dirty scot bastard, etc etc.
It's also not offensive, it is literally just a shortening of the name. I'm sorry if for those people it has bad connotations, but they're not intended or even really present.
Edit:
Oh, and I am avoiding saying it, out of respect for your veterans, do the same, please. I just think that it's possibly the most stupid thing I've heard all day.
