Is there a list of FRED2 sexp's that are not selectable? I mean the ones that work, but you have to type them yourself... Like that sexp in Derelict (good, old Derelict ) displaying a message in blue below your hull integrity indicator.

You mean the training-message? Its under the Training submenu. The only other one I know is grant-medal or something like that.

There's one for adding stuff to the techroom too (can`t remember the actual SEXP off the top of my head)

There has to be some kind of LIST of these. But WHERE IS IT!?

These are the ones I know of:

grant-medal (gives a medal)
grant-promotion (gives a promotion to the next rank regardless of the points the player has)
tech-add-ships (adds ships to tech room)
tech-add-weapons (adds weapons to tech room)

And how do you keep ships from being in the tech room automatically? Is it a ships.tbl thing?

hmmm, anyone ever gotten the "grant-promotion" sexp to work?  i keep getting errors.  Also, is it possible to determine the rank that the promotion takes the player to?

Because it's flash-hud-gauge and is listed.

Except for End-Mission-Delay and Cond, which don't work, the unlisted SEXPs all seem to be side effect functions and usable through listed functions. End-Mission-Delay might be able to be made usable by uncommenting some code and changing it's catagory for those of us with the source who can compile it.

Speaking of FRED2, anyone found a use for the "string" variable.  I can't figure out what to use it for.
